Water and the Word!
[Jesus said,] “but whoever drinks of the water
that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water
that I will give him will become in him a spring of water
welling up to eternal life.” (John 4:14)
References to water flow through the Bible. Each
week we will study a different Bible lesson containing an
element of water. Themes will continue through the day with
learning centers, academic concepts and projects based on the
weekly Bible lesson.
Our summer curriculum provides opportunities to
foster emotional, social, intellectual and physical growth for
all students in our care. Daily activities will include: art,
music, science, social studies, outdoor play, community
awareness and free exploration time. We will also hold water
days, ice-cream social events, and host special visitors.
After the Bell
learning opportunities may be available through
SMLS. Our staff will escort children to/from these special
enrichment options.
Vacation
Bible School
has invited our students to participate in their
program. CFK staff will assist with the program to provide
continuity of care.
For your convenience: Increased Scheduling Flexibility for
Summer
Christ
for Kids will be open to provide care for your families from
6:45am until 6:00 pm. You may sign up to attend for the entire
summer, for a few specific weeks, or take advantage of our
call-ahead drop-in* program (all necessary paperwork must be on
file prior to student attendance). Billing will be based on the
hours you pre-schedule.
*We
will do our best to honor all requests for drop-in care —
calling ahead allows us to ensure proper staffing. In most
cases, we will be able to confirm availability for drop in care
at the time of your call.
Meals and Snacks:
Christ
for Kids will provide a healthy mid-morning and afternoon snack
including a serving of milk or juice. Students will need to
bring a sack lunch and, if desired, a breakfast from home. 2%
milk will be provided for both breakfast and lunch.
